Intro To DOD
Dominions of Darkness (aka DOD) is an innovative Second Life® Roleplay community of Admin-Owner City Sims, with roleplay based on the World of Darkness® roleplay games. Dominions of Darkness is designed to be a growing network of roleplay cities operating on the same set of rules and player characters, and using the same multi-featured HUD. Other city sims will be added in time, allowing role-players the unique opportunity to travel and roleplay in different cities around the world while still earning experience points, growing their characters and gaining in powers and abilities. The City of Miami is the first of these roleplay cities launched in Second Life.

JOIN US! BECOME A DOMINIONS OF DARKNESS CITY-SIM OWNER
Sim owners who wish to have their own Dominions of Darkness city in Second Life must first be members of Miami in good standing and petition the DOD Admins to open their own City Sims. Prospective DOD City Owners may claim any undeclared city as their own and build/operate it in any way they see fit within the DOD rules and standards which are outlined on this website for 100% transparency to all members. Each DOD City will have its own page here on the official website to allow roleplayers the opportunity to carry their stories across multiple roleplay venues to create a rich and vibrant roleplay experience.
ALREADY HAVE AN ESTABLISHED SL WORLD OF DARKNESS CHARACTER YOU WANT TO PLAY?
For those who have an established World of Darkness character from another WOD sim, DOD invites you to bring them over and play. While it’s easy to start a new character using the DOD HUD, we understand that many people already have a favorite character they don’t wish to leave behind. At launch, DOD does not currently support Mages and Changlings, though these character types are slated to be available as playable characters sometime in the future.
Each person may migrate one (1) current character they are playing from another sim. This is reliant on the approval of the DOD Admins to ensure your previous character is playable in Dominions of Darkness. Simply forward your character sheet to the admins by clicking the email symbol on the homepage OR send to the admins as a Note Card in Second Life. The DOD Admins will give you half of your XP for your character in the DOD HUD, and accelerated XP earned for the first 8 weeks of your character's roleplay in any Dominions of Darkness city. Accelerated XP is based on a character-by-character basis.
While not every ability or skill will be an apples-to-apples conversion because of system differences, you can recreate your character as closely as possible so that you can continue your roleplay journey in Dominions of Darkness cities.
