PRECOGNITION

Precognition is the uncanny ability to sense what is just about to happen. While having a strong intuition of what is about to happen only a few seconds before it does may seem rather weak, a few seconds could be all it takes to prevent a blow from connecting with your face during a hand-to-hand fight, change the outcome of a battle, or allow an athlete to know exactly were the game ball is going to be.

Precognition allows the Psychic the opportunity to react before an action actually occurs and allows the Psychic to not be where the blow would land. This does not guarantee success because the Psychic's ability to actually fight hand-to-hand or their general physical skills is the real determining factor, but it does allow the Psychic a better than average chance of defending himself/herself/themself, if they have the skill to do so. 

In Dominions of Darkness, Precognition provides the Player's Character with extra bonuses in Physical Defense, Initiative and Athletics/Reflexes. These skills give the Character an edge when defending themselves in battles, or when reaction times are critical. This reflects the few seconds before an event happens, allowing the Character much quicker reaction times as if they saw it coming just a few seconds before it happened.

NOTE: If a Storyteller wishes, they can give a Character with purchased points in Precognition a heads up to react before an explosion happens or other similar event.
